26 th EurOMA Conference

Operations adding value to society

17th - 19th June 2019, Helsinki, Finland

Getting to Helsinki is easy! Welcome to the Daughter of the Baltic Sea!

You can reach Helsinki via Helsinki Airport.

From the airport to Helsinki city center:

  • Take a train to the central station:

All the trains leaving from the airport go to the city. You can buy tickets from the machines on the platform or on the train in the coaches marked with "lippunmyynti" which means ticket sale.

Stop: “Central Railway Station” (called Rautatientori and/or Rautatieasema, but from the train the stop will just be called “Helsinki”)

  • Bus 615 if you arrive late in the night

You can buy your ticket from the bus driver in the bus, but note that you will have to pay in cash.

Stop: Rautatientori

The conference's main venue is located at 15 minutes walking distance from the station.

You can reach Helsinki by ferries.

Several companies, such as Eckerö Line, Viking Line, Finnlines, St Peter Line, Linda Line or Tallink Silja, will bring you to Helsinki from Russia, Sweden, Germany, and Estonia. All the ferry companies (except Linda Line) also offer the possibility to take a car with you. More information about the cruses here.

You could also check out the ferry options via Turku, as it is only 2 hours by train away from Helsinki.
